Alan November is recognized internationally as a leader in education technology. He began his career as an oceanography teacher and dorm counselor at an island reform school for boys in Boston Harbor. He has been a director of an alternative high school, computer coordinator, technology consultant, and university lecturer. As practitioner, designer, and author, Alan has guided schools, government organizations and industry leaders as they plan to improve quality with technology.
Connecting and Collaborating Conference Interview and Notes (5)
The Connecting and Collaborating Conference was held on May 5 at the Ottawa ISD in Holland, Michigan. The purpose of this conference was to bring together educators and technology experts to model and demonstrate to power of colaborative technologies, such as wikis, podcasts, blogs, and skype conferencing. A number of speakers presented and the keynote was delivered by Steve Dembo of Discovery Education. The following presentations and interviews were captured by Mike Arnold of REMC 3&9 using a simple microphone and free Audacity software.
